Fartlek training in the great outdoors, nothing better.
Fartlek’s are a form of interval training, the word meaning “speed play”. Today’s workout involved sprinting 2 units (~50m), then running back 1 unit and walking 1 unit more. This is how I structure my intervals normally, but change the distance of the units involved. The easiest place to get sprinting fartleks in are on a soccer field, or a local track.
Considering how nice it is out, I thought to head down to the water and do my sprints on the loose rocks. Good thing I had good shoes.

Pylons are a must for dynamic training exercise. I use these often for foot drills, agility training and measuring distances. This style is great as they crush easily but don’t break, so I can tread on them and toss them around without worry.
Being of various color also allows me to add complexity if I want to do a certain action on a certain color. Great training which translates directly to the range for attention management.
